Dartmoor Invasive Species Project: Himalayan Balsam - Volunteers needed. Work has now started on the Dartmoor Invasive Species Project. Ecologist Mervyn Newman has planned volunteer work parties focussing on Himalayan Balsam over the Summer on the River Avon and its tributaries northwards from South Brent on Friday 2 August, Thursday 22 August and Thursday 12 September.
