An ADDED SESSION: Thursday 20 August: the final instalment of scything and green haying this year? Bring scythes, rakes and smiles to the ‘Apple a Day Orchard’ at 6pm. The plan will be to scythe the wildflower areas and spread them over the rank/scarified areas - a method known as green haying. South Brent Wood Fair has been postponed. The Wood Fair organising group has taken the difficult decision to postpone the third South Brent Wood Fair planned for the 5th September and not to run it this year. This is partly due to wanting to give maximum attention to follow-up events from the South Brent Climate Fair on 18th April.

The Marsh: SSB’s composting site is now fully open on Sunday mornings from 10am-1pm. Tickets are no longer reqired, but  a three vehicle maximum will continue to apply to assist in maintaining social distancing on the site. A volunteer at the roadside will allow vehicles down to the site and limited help will be available from volunteers.
