Greener Ugborough Parish Talk: ‘What can you do about your CO2?’
18 January @ 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm GMT
Saturday 18 January 2020: ‘What can you do about your CO2?’ in Ugborough Village Hall from 12.15-1pm, after Sustainable Saturday. Greener Ugborough Parish welcomes David Roe in a public talk highlighting how we might determine our carbon footprint and practical steps we can take to reduce it. Carbon footprint, sustainability, CO2 emissions, life cycle analysis – these all sound bewilderingly complex. David will boil these terms down for us, help us digest them and impart positive steps we can all practically take. David has spent the last 25 years working with businesses ranging from the National Trust through to the Eden Project to help them to reduce their energy use and waste. Here, with a balance of humour and the deadly serious, David will range from washing up, jetting to the sun, buying online and going vegan – sometimes with unexpected results – but always based on facts and science. A free event open to all, with no booking required. Donations towards Greener Ugborough Parish very welcome.
