South Brent Climate Fair – To be confirmed

Saturday 5 September 2020 (TBC postponed from 18 April): South Brent Climate Fair 2020 from 11am-5pm in and around South Brent Village Hall. Climate Fair 2020 is being planned in in response to the ambition to make South Brent and other communities carbon neutral by 2030 and is an initiative of Sustainable South Brent, supported by South Brent Parish Council, Rattery Parish Council and South Brent Community Energy Society. The purpose of the Climate Fair is to offer a fun day out which will engage and inform people and communities about how we can do our bit to reduce waste, cut emissions, save energy, lower our bills, restore our countryside and support this thriving local community. There will be stalls, demonstrations, talks, films, entertainments, a free ‘Dr Bike’ bike check, a drop-in T-shirt workshop, a local producers’ mini-market and a café with delicious, seasonal food. Be inspired to find out how you can make a difference. You will be able to meet and talk to lots of interesting people, including our local MP, Anthony Mangnall. With music from Owly Dave, Wild Harmony, The Ukelective, Peter Scott and Clare Pettinger. There will be minibus tours of local innovations and a free ‘Park & Ride’ from Palstone Park Recreation Ground, South Brent and Rattery Village Hall. We hope you will join us for a great day out.
