Glyn Richards Manager of the Old School Community Centre
(shown here joining in with our Community Radio Project way back in 2016)
Glyn retired as Centre Manager in November 2020. A very big thank you to Glyn for facilitating and supporting a range of activities for SSB and South Brent Community Energy Society since the inception of SSB in 2006.
We have always been grateful for the continuously comfortable relationship we shared with Glyn; for the generosity and interest shown towards SSB and The Community Energy Society. Always keen to say yes to events and projects and there when needed, putting up with our demands and general attention seeking, without a grumble. Always showing care and consideration towards all users of the Centre and for wanting to encourage an inclusive atmosphere with equality of access for everyone were very visible and ever present. We will very much miss Glyn following a well-earned retirement after 21 years of dedication to the Old School!!
Thank you, Glyn for sharing with us your wealth of knowledge and experience of the village community here on Dartmoor, and providing constructive guidance on future project developments. We would also like to acknowledge the commitment of both Pauline and Zoe, wife and daughter team, ever ready to support you, The Old School and our organisations. Thank you so much.
A small presentation was made to Glyn of a painting by Sue Ifould of the River Avon and a bottle of sparkling wine from a local vineyard in Chudleigh.
