South Brent Archive – LAUNCH in the Old School Community Centre from 11am-8pm. Local Historian Christine Scott, who has donated her extensive collection to start off the Archive, will speak briefly at 11am in the Old School Hall during the Coffee Morning. There will be displays all day in the Aune Room plus information on how to get involved, how to donate memorabilia and for opening times to access the Archive. Dartmoor Invasive Species Project: Himalayan Balsam - Volunteers needed. Work has now started on the Dartmoor Invasive Species Project. Ecologist Mervyn Newman has planned volunteer work parties focussing on Himalayan Balsam over the Summer on the River Avon and its tributaries northwards from South Brent on Friday 2 August, Thursday 22 August and Thursday 12 September.
