South Brent Wood Fair has been postponed. The Wood Fair organising group has taken the difficult decision to postpone the third South Brent Wood Fair planned for the 5th September and not to run it this year. This is partly due to wanting to give maximum attention to follow-up events from the South Brent Climate Fair on 18th April.

The 'Steeper’s are a lively group of SSB volunteers who are in their ninth year of hedge laying and collecting wood for fuel. The group will be coppicing 25 year old trees, at Penstave Copse, to let more daylight get to the woodland floor. This will encourage natural regeneration of trees, and wildflowers, with benefits for insects, small mammals, and birds.
